Embark on a challenging and rewarding opportunity in the dynamic field of Mechanical System Installation Design as a Design Engineer (d/m/w) in Hamburg. You will contribute to the development and execution of cutting-edge mechanical design projects for manufacturing and assembly in the aviation sector. This key role includes handling detailed designs of mechanical system installations, components, and assemblies, while ensuring precision and efficiency. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and active participation in feasibility studies make this position as engaging as it is impactful.
Your tasks:
- Develop and execute MSI designs for hydraulic and flight control systems in the vertical stabilizer of A320 and A330 models.
- Deliver detailed designs of mechanical system installations and components based on specified guidelines.
- Create and revise manufacturing documentation to support production and assembly stages.
- Conduct thorough assessments of production discrepancies and propose early solutions, including modifications.
- Coordinate with design-structure departments as an interface specialist.
- Maintain data accuracy across key tools and systems.
- Perform feasibility studies for new developments and customization projects to optimize design outcomes.
- Flexibly travel to Stade 1–3 times a month for project coordination purposes.
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 2 years of experience in engineering and design and 1 year in configuration management, research, and development.
- Advanced proficiency in tools such as SAP, Catia V5, CCD, PDMLink, and vpm.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Taksy systems.
- Basic German and proficient English language skills.
- Ability to analyze technical processes quickly and deliver results effectively.
- Skill in independent, structured, and outcome-driven work on time-sensitive projects.
- Adaptability for flexible travel arrangements.
