We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Buyer (d/m/w) to join the growing Airbus team in Hamburg. This position focuses on Mechanical System Integration (MSI) within the Procurement Aerostructure team responsible for the supply of Mechanical Systems and Aircraft Interior items across various global plants and aircraft programs. Your tasks:
- Coordinate procurement strategies with engineering and program teams to ensure stable and secure production outcomes.
- Prepare procurement activities such as calls for tenders, negotiation procedures until contract signing, and contract amendments.
- Develop and maintain large internal and external networks to optimize supply chain effectiveness.
- Manage supplier relationships with major aeronautical industry players while ensuring ethical and compliance standards are upheld.
- Participate in governance and management meetings providing insights to procurement programs.
- Review competitive strategies and actively contribute to cross-functional teams, task forces, and risk evaluations.
- A technical or engineering degree at the bachelor level, preferably in industrial engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in procurement, supplier management, or contract management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complexities efficiently.
- Independent, structured, and results-oriented approach to meet objectives and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with stakeholders at various levels.
- Advanced English language proficiency suitable for negotiations and professional discussions.
- Good knowledge of project management methodologies and practices.
