- Conduct structural analyses to justify allowable damage limits and repairs of the High Lift structure.
- Utilize Finite Element Modelling (FEM) for linear and non-linear assessments using Nastran, and post-process results with HyperView.
- Create detailed justification reports for technical approval and authorization.
- Provide input data to design teams for the preparation and publication of the Structural Repair Manual (SRM).
- Coordinate and cooperate with internal teams (Airbus), risk-sharing partners, and subcontractors to ensure timely input delivery.
- Exchange ideas with other SRM skill teams (design, authoring, and management) to ensure the full availability of SRM at Entry Into Service.
- Propose and implement methods to improve daily tasks, delivery times, and quality standards.
We are seeking a motivated Stress Engineer (d/f/m) with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. To be successful in this role, you must bring a strong technical background and meet the following requirements:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience in the aviation industry, particularly in aircraft construction and project management.
- Thorough knowledge of static verification methods for metallic and composite structures.
- Proficiency in Finite Element Modelling (FEM) techniques, with hands-on experience using Nastran and HyperView.
- Strong IT skills, with knowledge of Python, Google Workspace, and FEM tools.
- Negotiation-level proficiency in English; German is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities to ensure a smooth information flow.
