As a Buyer (m/w/d) for MSI & Interiors R&T projects (Research & Technologies) based in Hamburg Finkenwerder, you will play a central role in shaping the future of aerospace technologies. This full-time position involves developing procurement strategies, managing contracts, and collaborating with international suppliers to accelerate innovative solutions. You will ensure a coherent approach to supply chain management while maintaining a professional relationship with major players in the aeronautical industry. Leveraging market intelligence and supplier performance insights, you will negotiate contracts, secure intellectual property rights, and enable multi-sourcing and competitiveness, all within the boundaries of ethical standards and compliance guidelines. Your tasks:
- Coordinate with R&T, engineering, and program teams to design procurement strategies.
- Manage procurement activities such as tenders, negotiations, contract preparation, and amendments.
- Identify potential new partners through sourcing and screening activities.
- Negotiate Cooperation and Research Agreements while securing intellectual property rights.
- Build and maintain a robust network internally and externally to drive innovation and supplier collaboration.
- Oversee supplier relationship management, upholding company ethics and compliance standards.
- Represent the company in international supplier collaborations to foster innovation.
- Hold a degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- 3 years of experience in procurement, customer service, and project management.
- Demonstrated knowledge in contract management and international negotiations with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SAP and Google Workspace tools.
- Good understanding of process management and risk management.
- Negotiation-level fluency in English.
- High resilience, organizational skills, and willingness to travel within Europe.
