Join a dynamic team in Hamburg Finkenwerder as a Buyer (m/w/d) at Airbus for MSI (Mechanical System Installation) & Interiors R&T (Research and Technologies) projects. This full-time role involves managing procurement activities for cutting-edge research and technologies, ensuring strategic alignment across supply chains, and maintaining supplier relationships to foster innovation. You will collaborate closely with R&T, engineering, and program teams, leveraging international partnerships to drive advancement in the aerospace industry.
Your tasks:
- Coordinate procurement strategies for MSI & Interiors R&T projects in collaboration with Airbus teams.
- Run tenders, negotiations, contract management, and follow-ups to ensure optimal procurement results.
- Perform screenings and source new suppliers to bolster Airbus's innovation and competitiveness.
- Negotiate Cooperation and Research Agreements to secure IP rights and enable multi-sourcing.
- Build an extensive network internally and externally to optimize procurement strategies.
- Uphold ethical procurement practices while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Work with international suppliers to accelerate cutting-edge innovations for Airbus customers.
We are looking for a professional with strong expertise in procurement, contract negotiation, and project management, paired with excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is ready to integrate into a team, manage responsibilities effectively, and travel within Europe for business purposes.
Your qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- 3 years of experience in procurement, 1 year in customer service, 2 years in project and contract management.
- Experience in international negotiations with suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge of SAP, Google Workspace, process management, and risk management.
- Fluent in English.
- An unlimited employment contract.
- A 35-hour workweek with the flexibility to manage overtime through time off or payout.
- 30 days of annual leave.
