Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer (f/m/d) – Gas Turbines
As a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer, you operate at the intersection of technology and supply chain. Your daily work involves building a comprehensive overview of manufacturing capabilities, analyzing suppliers’ production reports, collaborating with strategically important suppliers, and providing technical support to the procurement team. Analysis of Production and Resource Bottlenecks: Identify constraints in suppliers’ production and logistics processes and develop and implement actionable solutions to eliminate inefficiencies and increase throughput
Evaluation and Validation of Supplier Production Processes: Conduct on-site and remote assessments of supplier facilities and initiate structured improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other industrial engineering methodologies
Leading Continuous Improvement Projects: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and process optimizations aimed at improving supplier performance
Optimize material and information flow between suppliers and internal operations, applying Lean principles to reduce waste, increase responsiveness, and improve agility throughout the supply chain
Completed university degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, or a comparable field
Extensive professional experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering with a focus on production processes and their optimization, as well as collaboration with suppliers. Experience in the production of industrial gas turbines, particularly rotor and stator blades, and initial project management experience are advantageous
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, data-driven decision-making, and goal-oriented work style. Excellent communication skills, especially when working with production teams and planning managers at suppliers
Ability to coach and support procurement professionals on technical production topics
