Job Description
Based in Hamburg, this rolewill supportLDC's Coffee commercial strategy across Northern Europe, with a strong focus on Germany and selected neighboring markets.
The position combines sales development, market expansion, execution excellence, and strategic insight to strengthen LDC's regional footprint and deliver sustainable growth.
The selected candidate will report to theMarketing Manager for Germany.
- Sales & Strategic Development
- Execute LDC's global coffee sales strategy for both Green and Soluble Coffee across the assigned region.
- Develop new customer accounts and nurture long‑term, strategic partnerships with existing clients.
- Support business development initiatives, including new trade flows, strategic positions, off‑take agreements, and sustainability-focused solutions.
- Promote LDC's products, capabilities, and value proposition to key customers, ensuring strong engagement and trust.
- Commercial Development
- Assess regional market needs and provide tailored commercial solutions.
- Manage day‑to‑day customer relationships and respond promptly to inquiries.
- Maintainaccurateand up-to-date SPOT inventory lists to support commercial decisions.
- Execution
- Coordinate end‑to‑end execution of all trades, includinglogistics, inventory management, invoicing, exposure tracking, and quality control from origin to destination.
- Implement creative and cost‑efficientlogisticssolutions to enhance service quality.
- Collaborate closely with traders, execution teams, origin offices, freight providers, and support functions to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Market Intelligence
- Gather, analyze, anddisseminatemarket intelligence on supply, demand, pricing, competition, and emerging trends within the region.
- Translate market insights into actionable recommendations for both regional and global trading teams.
Experience
Profile:
- Master's degree in Business, Data Science, Engineering, or Commodity Trading
- Fluent English andGermanare essential; knowledge ofRussianor Polishwill be considered a significant asset
- 3+ yearsof experience in coffee trading, merchandising,green coffeesales
- Basic understanding ofcoffee sustainability programs and certifications
- Greencoffeequalityknowledgeis a plus
- Interestin internationallogistics,tradeor commodities
- Highproficiencyin Microsoft Excel and database systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload under pressure
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate work with multiple stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
