Mechanical Design Engineer (m/w/d)

On behalf of our renowned client with headquarters in Mamer (L) we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d) for mechanical satellite systems.

The position will be filled directly and permanent with the client.

Our client is an innovative, Luxembourg based high-tech company with several state-of-the-art divisions.

• Generating mechanical designs and CAD models,

• Specifying and selecting machine components,
• Generating fabrication drawings and production documents,
• Generating support documentation and testing of mechanical parts and assemblies,
• Providing expertise and support to all engineering activities of the company,
• Working on mechanical design aspects of the company’s products,
• Supporting continuous improvement in terms of design & verification processes,
• Supporting the efficient interaction and information flow between disciplines,
• Coming up with development ideas and their realization,
• Pro-actively introducing, documenting and disseminating new technologies and concepts in the technology survey activities of the department

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering,

• At least 3 years of experience in a relevant field of activity,
• Good team spirit,
• Excellent knowledge in mechanical design and machine components,
• Proficiency of the adequate engineering/ CAD/PDM tools (Autodesk Inventor, Vault)
• Experience with material selection and surface treatments,
• Familiarity with pertinent norms (e.g. FKM, VDI2230, Eurocodes),
• Good experience in the standard software (Internet, MS Office),
• Ability to work in an English-speaking environment including technical discussions and documentation activities, German, French and Luxembourgish being considered a plus.
