R&D Manager Project Engineering (all genders)

The R&D Manager Project Engineering will be responsible for capital strategy vision and master plan development, while driving the capital long range plan program, annual capital plan management, and financial compliance. Also, you will lead a team of engineers to implement facilities, utilities, and equipment capital projects.
Provide daily leadership to the Project Engineering department including personnel management, training management, department organizational structure as well as project management.
Lead the project strategic planning of next fiscal year capital plan and administer as well as lead the annual site capital plan and department budget.
Deliver capital plan last best estimates (LBE) as per the established frequency by finance and project accounting.
Prioritize projects and take on responsibility for achieving the projects and capital plan financial targets in support of business objectives and life cycle costs.
Administer asset management, project lifecycle, and energy sustainability programs.
Ensure compliance of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements as well as promote continuous improvement and consider EHS aspects during the project design and change process.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or closely related discipline with a desired 8+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.
Engineering lead role experience in the Biopharma industry and demonstrated consistent technical contributions and accomplishments would be of advantage.
Ability to interact, advise and communicate with Senior Management and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and collaborators.
Possesses a strong technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures while working on problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data involves multiple competing factors.
Computer literate including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Outlook), AutoCAD, SAP, among others.
Language proficiency in German and English.
