As the Senior Data Architect in our Global HR Data, Analytics and AI team you will…
Own the target picture, design, and continuous development of the global HR Data Architecture, embedded in the ZEISS Enterprise Vision
Define how HR data is structured, integrated, and processed – with a focus on modular, integrated architectures, real-time analytics, and AI/ML readiness
Collaborate closely with Corporate IT, ZEISS Digital Partners and HR functions worldwide to orchestrate data governance, architecture, systems, and AI solutions
Build and steer the HR data infrastructure and DataOps (e.g., HR Data Landing Zone on Azure, Azure Warehouse, SAP Business Data Cloud)
Take on hands-on data engineering tasks initially (pipelines, modelling, integration), and later steer the corresponding delivery capabilities
Translate complex technical topics into clear messages, actively manage stakeholders, and support change processes in a global HR context
Your profile
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or similar; ideally complemented by relevant certifications or a PhD in data/AI
8–10 years of experience in data architecture/data engineering, with proven experience in HR systems or the HR data domain in global or multi-regional environments
Deep technical understanding of HCM systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM) as well as modern data platforms and integration tools (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, APIs, ETL)
Strong systems thinking and conceptual strength combined with a hands-on mentality and experience building modern data architectures for AI/ML
Excellent communication, change, and stakeholder management skills; able to explain complex topics in a simple way and guide people through transformation
ideally experience in organizations with an advanced digital/data agenda and working in global, diverse teams
English business proficiency is a must-have, German proficiency is a plus
