As a Supplier Performance Manager (d/m/w), you will join a dynamic team at Hamburg Finkenwerder, taking on a crucial role within the cross-program Cabin perimeter. This position involves collaboration with Airbus Cabin Supply Chain & Logistics Electronics, focusing on three main areas: supply management, supplier control, and supplier development. Working full-time, your responsibilities will center on securing timely and high-quality delivery from suppliers, driving supplier recovery plans, and ensuring industrial compliance with Airbus standards. Key aspects of the role also include capacity and capability development of suppliers, managing industrial supplier audits, and proactive risk mitigation. Your work will directly support Airbus Final Assembly Lines and contribute significantly to its industrial ramp-up and sustainability goals.
Your tasks:
- You will ensure suppliers maintain performance based on Key Performance Indicators, implementing containment actions where necessary.
- You will initiate and oversee recovery plans for underperforming suppliers.
- You will conduct industrial qualifications for suppliers and products in compliance with airworthiness and Airbus supplier requirements.
- You will lead industrial audits and assessments to guarantee robust supplier capabilities.
- You will drive supplier capacity and capability development, leveraging methodologies like APQP, Lean, and SQIP projects.
- You will monitor new product introduction and transfers, ensuring end-to-end consistency.
- You will actively manage industrial risks and coordinate resolutions with internal and external teams.
- You will maintain strong communication with stakeholders, ranging from Airbus programs to suppliers, influencing decision-making effectively.
- You will represent Airbus at supplier locations, traveling up to once per month worldwide.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field is required.
- Professional experience of 2 years in supply chain management, quality management, or supplier management is essential.
- Proficiency in tools such as SAP/R3, Google Workspace, Windows, and quality management methods like APQP, PFMEA, and 8D/9S is highly desirable.
- Sound knowledge of risk management principles and total quality management practices is required.
- Strong analytical skills to quickly understand interrelationships and functional processes are necessary.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels are crucial.
- Structured, independent, and results-oriented working style to meet deadlines and coordinate workflows efficiently.
- Willingness to travel up to once per month globally.
