As a Configuration Manager (d/m/w) at Airbus, based in Hamburg Finkenwerder, you will be at the forefront of coordinating and optimizing industrial integration tasks for the A320 Family Programme. Collaborating closely with production sites, suppliers, and stakeholders, you will ensure comprehensive synchronization of customer-defined customization configurations within quality, lead time, and cost frameworks. From managing version modifications to mitigating risks on new project developments, this role demands strong analytical capabilities, structured problem-solving, and team-oriented collaboration within a multicultural environment.
Your tasks:
- Perform industrial integration of version modifications and manage late mandatory customer option requests.
- Identify and address industrial risks while bridging activities with production, suppliers, manufacturing plants, and final assembly lines (FAL).
- Monitor deliverables against program planning and ensure seamless industrial integration of version reallocations.
- Support chief engineering teams to mitigate risks and enhance program robustness in fleet integration.
- Drive continuous improvement, digitalization, and lean processes to enhance general industrial integration workflows.
- Collaborate in streamlining customization processes to support increased production rates.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Engineering, or related fields.
- Professional experience in configuration management, manufacturing engineering, production processes, project management, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in IT systems such as SAP ICC and Google Workspace.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (fluent/proficient).
- Advanced analytical capabilities and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in stakeholder management is advantageous.
- Familiarity with aerospace operations and processes is preferred.
