Job Description:
In order to support the “Weapon System Integration Rigs” team, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
Technical Project Manager (d/f/m)
The Weapon System Integration Rigs team is responsible for avionics, flight control, and hydraulics test equipment, which is used for the qualification and certification of various fighter aircraft systems. As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and overseeing the development and creation of test equipment- from the initial concept phase up to second-level support during product operation.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to test equipment development
  
• Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with technical and business objectives
  
• Prepare and contribute to technical and commercial proposals, supporting business acquisition activities
  
• Facilitate and conduct project reviews, status meetings, and stakeholder updates to ensure project transparency and risk mitigation
  
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal processes
  
• Monitor and manage procurement activities, supplier performance, and contractual obligations to maintain cost-effectiveness and quality
  
• Drive technical enhancements in test equipment through digitization initiatives and process optimization, fostering innovation and efficiency
  

Desired skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline; alternatively, a comparable vocational qualification with several years of relevant experience
  
• K nowledge in project management techniques, ideally in a technical or engineering environment, with a strong understanding of project lifecycle management
  
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
  
• Basic knowledge of financial planning, controlling, and business administration, ensuring budget adherence and cost efficiency
  
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust, collaborate effectively, and resolve complex challenges
  
• Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken), enabling seamless coordination in an international environment
